We believe that leaders are both born and made and that leadership skills develop non-linearly over the leader’s lifespan. While we can provide support for leaders’ development, ultimately it is up to each individual leader to take responsibility for pursuing growth.
We support leaders’ development through development plans, workshops, and coaching.
We also provide ongoing developmental opportunities for our internal personnel using an apprenticeship model. Specifically, we have senior and junior facilitators and senior and junior coaches working in tandem. Seniors have more expertise and experience in facilitating/coaching within and outside of LeAD and encourage the development of juniors. Juniors may have less experience but have high potential as a facilitator/coach and learn from seniors through observation and by asking questions. Seniors assign increasingly more challenging assignments to juniors to help them stretch their skills. Communities of practice among personnel provide regular opportunities for discussions and development regarding LeAD practices.
